100,000 New Homes To Be Built in BCC Plan

George Osborne is being urged to let brickies rebuild the economy, by backing a £2.5 BILLION housing plan!
Last night, the British Chambers of Commerce demanded a plan to kick-start  the construction sector and create thousands of jobs.
It wants the Chancellor to “unlock” stalled housing developments by giving councils the cash to put in drainage or build connecting roads. And it called for a new programme to build 100,000 housing association homes. BCC chief John Longworth said this could be funded by cuts elsewhere.
The BCC is submitting it’s housing wish-list to the Treasury ahead of the Chancelor’s autumn statement on the 5th December.
